Hey Everyone,
As promised, here is our first weekly blog entry!!! There is so much going on over @thebashorg right now and the support you have given us over the past year has been amazing and so overwhelming. This friday, we had a four hour major brainstorm and planning meeting at Bosilika's house to discuss various projects we have coming up this term. We divided the entire Bash org into the three branches and everyone had certain assignments to complete.
The BASH House, our tween committee, was frantically planning their next fundraiser, Luck by The BASH that is going to take place next weekend. They also put together some thank you cards for special donors and supporters of our last event, Olivia's Hands For The Heart Brunch.
The BASH Organization Board worked on a slew of projects ranging from a five point fundraising plan to ways to increase involvement with the hospitals. We are especially excited about a Teen Impact Retreat we are planning with CHLA that will take place in April. We are going glamping with the patients and have a bunch of fun things in store for them on the trip such as a series of workshops to inspire self-esteem and recovery and also a teen dance.
Finally, The Teen House Directors spent the day interviewing candidates for their new branch. It was so much fun meeting the various candidates, hearing their fundraising pitches and seeing how diverse people can be while maintaining our common link of being teens wanting to help others in the world. We are so excited to introduce our final Teen House committee to you all next week.
